LMYB Competitive Baseball

Registration for the Linn-Mar Youth Baseball COMPETITIVE season.

• Competitive Baseball (7U-14U) for athletes wishing to play competitive baseball via league games and weekend tournaments. An Evaluation is REQUIRED to play LMYB Competitive Baseball (see below for more details on evaluations).

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2027 SEASON WILL REMAIN OPEN THROUGH JULY 15, 2026



An Evaluation is REQUIRED to play LMYB Competitive Baseball. This evaluation requirement can be met via the following:

Existing 8U-14U LMYB Player: If you already play within LMYB on a Competitive Baseball team, current coaches will be providing individual evaluations and recommendations for 2027 team placement. No additional evaluation attendance is required.

New to LMYB: On-field evaluations (to view fielding, pitching and hitting skills) will take place on the following dates. Please bring a glove, bat, helmet and water-bottle and wear a numbered shirt with long-pants. You only need to attend one session.

9U-14U Evaluations: Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Lowe Park Field #1 from 5:30-7pm

9U-14U Evaluations: Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Lowe Park Field #1 from 5:30-7pm

Requesting to play 7U or 8U Tournament: All players (existing or new to LMYB) that are planning to play 7U or 8U Tournament Baseball in 2027 will need to attend an on-field evaluation. Please bring a glove, bat, helmet and water-bottle and wear a numbered shirt with long-pants. You only need to attend one session.

7U-8U Evaluations: Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at Lowe Park Field #2 from 5:30-7pm

7U-8U Evaluations: Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Lowe Park Field #4 from 5:30-7pm

Competitive Baseball Fees

A $35 non-refundable registration fee is required and due upon registration.

Upon the team formation process, once a player accepts their team roster invitation, an initial team fee of $250 will be collected, which will go towards your total team cost. Additional team costs (league fees, field usage, umpire fees, tournament fees, equipment) will be collected from the coach once the season begins*.

*Jersey costs and hotel accommodations are separate from program/team fees.

There is a $0.99 fee for all transactions (ACH bank transfer is recommended).

A credit card may also be used, but will incur an additional 2% transaction fee.



Total team costs will vary depending on team classification and number of games/tournaments. Coaches will communicate plans and specific costs at the beginning of the season and Coaches are responsible for collection. General guidance is as follows:

• Major/AAA: High competition and estimated financial commitment of approximately $600-$900. Willingness to play in 6-8+ tournaments, with some expected tournament travel, and potential league games. All players are expected to participate in winter practices and have baseball as your number one summer sports priority.

• AA: Mid-level competition and estimated financial commitment of $400-$700. Willingness to play in 5-8 tournaments, with potential tournament travel, and league games. All players are expected to participate in winter practices and have baseball as your number one summer sports priority.

• A: Developing player/financial commitment of $300-$600. Willingness to play in 1-4 tournaments and league games.

• Tournament: For younger ages (7U and 8U) that have not yet been classified within USSSA. High competition and estimated financial commitment of approximately $250-$500. Willingness to play in 3+ weekend tournaments and league games. All players are expected to participate in winter practices and have baseball as your number one summer sports priority.

A LMYB holiday apparel store typically opens in the late October timeframe. Merchandise and team gear can be purchased prior to the season (no jersey sales).

The LMYB jersey store typically opens in the late January timeframe. This will be the time to order jerseys for the season. More information will be provided by coaches as the apparel stores open. Jersey costs are separate from program/team fees.
